There\u2019s something energizing hearing the journey of a leader who has navigated challenges in her career while also committing herself to lifting others along the way. The Power at the Table series, hosted by the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Women in Engineering (WIE) committee, is curated to highlight these powerful stories\u2014stories of persistence, leadership, and the impact of purposeful engineering.<\/p>\n

In this latest installment, organized by Marium Rasheed and Neha Beniwal, Maria Cortez, a senior leader in the power electronics field, joined the conversation with Lauren Kegley (see Figure 1<\/a>) to share insights from her impactful career in the power sector. A leader with decades of experience in the industry, Maria\u2019s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, purpose, and excellence. Her reflections on leadership, engineering innovation, mentorship, and the responsibility of senior executives to train the next generation of leaders left a lasting impact on the attendees.<\/p>\n
